When you have rappers such as Jay-Z and Meek Mill wearing the same trendy sweater within the same month, then you know that the article of clothing is a must-haveespecially when it involves the leader of Roc Nation and one of the artists that he manages. While shooting the video for DJ Drama’s “My Moment” single which features Meek, 2 Chainz and Jeremih, the young emcee from the Maybach Music Group decided to put on his red and black bumblebee shirt with red stars circling across the neckline. Meek was photographed on August 6 while shooting the video in Toronto, Canada and those images were immediately released through Instagram.
Weeks later, Jay-Z appeared on the cover of the September 6 edition of The New York Times Style Magazine. If you know anything about Jay, he makes the final decision on what he wears and what he does. You have to wonder if the fashion team around him gave him a heads-up about not being the first to wear the sharp sweater. That surely didn’t stop The Times magazine from keeping two of those photos in the final version of the article.
Recently New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz was spotted in the sweater as he attended a Jay-Z concert at the Barclays Center.
